The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians are now Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation. Our Tribe is proud to reclaim this namesake for our ancestors and all generations to come. yu-HAH-vee-ah-tahm [note to designer: let’s make this stand out] It means “People of the Pines” in our native Serrano language. But it stands for so much more. This is a name that honors our history, unites our community and inspires us to build a brighter future for all. We are Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation.
